Ozone Safe

Ozone Safe

PU foam can be used safely thanks to its eco-friendly and ozone-depleting formula. It offers an environmentally conscious solution during and after application and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Easy to Use

Easy to Use

PU foam, which can be applied practically with a gun or pipette, easily fills gaps and cracks thanks to its fast-expanding structure. Excess foam is smoothed away with a spatula to create a smooth surface.

Excellent Adhesion

Excellent Adhesion

PU foam exhibits superior adhesion performance on various surfaces such as wood, concrete, drywall, metal, and brick. It provides permanent and durable insulation and filling for both indoor and outdoor applications.

What is PU Foam?

PU foam is a special, single-component, polyurethane-based building material that expands upon application to fill voids. Applied in liquid form, it foams and hardens over time to form a durable insulation layer. It is frequently used in homes, offices, and industrial buildings; in roofs, attics, wall cavities, and hard-to-reach areas.

PU Foam Properties

  • High adhesion: Adheres strongly to many surfaces such as wood, concrete, brick, metal, and drywall. Adhesion performance is further enhanced if the surface is clean.
  • Thermal and sound insulation: Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it minimizes heat loss and reduces sound transmission.
  • Quick and easy application: Conveniently applied with a gun or spray, reducing labor time.
  • Durable construction: Once cured, it does not deform, rot, or collapse, providing long-lasting insulation.
  • Flexible use: Can be easily used in walls, ceilings, roofs, and door/window openings.
  • Environmentally friendly ingredients: Modern PU foams do not contain ozone-depleting gases and are more environmentally conscious.

Applications of PU Foam

  1. Roof and ceiling insulation
It provides effective heat and sound insulation in attic spaces, under ceilings, and on pitched roofs. It can be applied even in hard-to-reach areas.
  2. Exterior facade and wall cavities
Curtain walls prevent thermal bridges in areas such as column-beam gaps and wall cores, thus protecting the structure.
  3. Door and window installation
It provides both airtight and thermal insulation by filling the gaps between the frame and the wall. The low-expansion type reduces the risk of deformation.
  4. Basement and floor insulation
It prevents moisture and cold air from entering through subfloor and basement walls, improving insulation performance.
  5. Industrial buildings and outdoor spaces
It provides a fast and effective seal in warehouses, attics, and exterior wall joints.

PU Foam Application Tips

  • The surface must be clean, dry, and dust-free. Adhesion will be poor on dirty surfaces.
  • Slightly moistening the surface before application increases expansion and adhesion.
  • Avoid applying thick layers; spraying in thin layers provides a more stable structure.
  • After curing, excess foam can be trimmed and smoothed; the surface can then be painted or coated.
  • Professional gun usage offers precise and economical application possibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

We've answered your frequently asked questions about PU Foam.

Yes, once PU foam dries, it can be painted with most water-based and solvent-based paints. This provides both an aesthetically pleasing and durable coating.

After cleaning the surface, the foam is applied to the gaps using a spray gun or piping bag. Excess foam is smoothed with a spatula until the desired surface smoothness is achieved.

Standard PU foam has limited water resistance. Water-resistant formulas should be preferred for wet areas or exterior applications.

It can be safely applied to many surfaces such as wood, concrete, drywall, brick, and metal. It is suitable for gap filling, insulation, and assembly applications in both indoor and outdoor environments.

PU foam provides surface drying within 10-20 minutes, depending on ambient temperature and humidity conditions. For full hardening and durability, it usually cures completely in 24 hours.
